Our DCE Parts intercooler core was engineered to offer a greater overall surface area for increased heat absorption as well as dissipation. If you're running more power than stock, it will be beneficial to choose for a larger intercooler to maintain power for longer sustained periods of load. When tuned, airflow and boost levels are increased significantly. This causes the OEM intercooler to heat soak and reduces HP and increases the chance of pre-detonation. With an upgraded intercooler, the air will be cooled properly to the required temperatures to sustain higher performance levels.
The DCE Parts intercooler is made with the bar and plate design, resulting in a more durable and stronger construction. It can withstand more boost pressure and is more durable and better able to tolerate external damage.
